How I Found Life Coaching (and How It Can Help You Find Yourself Too)

If you're anything like the women I’ve worked with for over 20 years—bold, beautiful, complex—you might have this quiet ache for more. More confidence. More clarity. More self-worth. Maybe even the courage to go after the dream you barely whisper out loud.

I know that ache. I lived it.

From Chaos to Clarity: My Unlikely Journey to Becoming a Life Coach

Back in 2018, I started to feel this nudge. A whisper that maybe I was meant to be a life coach. But honestly? I laughed it off.

I was way too messy.
Too emotional.
Too… me.

I thought coaches had it all together. They were polished and perfect, and I was just trying to keep the wheels on. I didn’t think I had anything to offer. But here’s the thing—sometimes what looks like chaos is just the early stages of becoming.

That nudge didn’t go away. Over the years, people (even strangers!) would randomly tell me, “You’d make an amazing life coach.” And it would stop me in my tracks. Because deep down, I knew they were right.

I’ve always done things differently. I didn’t come from a legacy of support or stability. I come from a long line of women who were taught to survive, not thrive. I’ve spent most of my life breaking generational cycles, healing trauma, and proving to myself that I get to write my own story—even when it doesn’t look like anyone else’s.

I was a teen mom.
I built a six-figure business from scratch.
I’ve walked through grief, loss, fear, and reinvention.
And I’ve come out the other side with fire.

Photography Was the First Door

As a boudoir photographer, I’ve worked with thousands of women over the years. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when a woman finally sees herself—really sees herself—for the first time.

It’s not about the makeup or the photos (although those are chef’s kiss). It’s about that spark. That moment when something clicks and she realizes: I’m worthy. I’ve always been worthy.

I realized I wasn’t just helping women look beautiful—I was helping them feel powerful. And that’s where the seed of life coaching truly began to grow.

Coaching: The Work That Changed My Life

I’ve worked with incredible coaches over the years—on mindset, business, grief, and growth. Each one met me where I was and helped me move toward where I wanted to be. Not by giving me answers, but by asking the right questions.

Coaching gave me tools I didn’t know I needed.
Language I didn’t know I was missing.
Belief in myself when mine was shaky at best.

Now I get to be that space for other women.

Why Coaching Isn’t a Luxury—It’s a Lifeline

Confidence isn’t something you magically “get” one day. It’s something you build. It’s a practice. A muscle. And so is self-worth. And clarity. And courage.

If you’re stuck in the loop of self-doubt…
If you’re always there for everyone else and never yourself…
If you’ve got big dreams but keep waiting for the “right” time…

This is your sign.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be willing to begin.

This Work Is About Coming Home to Yourself

If you’ve felt disconnected from your power, unsure of who you are anymore, or burned out from trying to be everything to everyone—coaching can help.

This isn’t about fixing you. You’re not broken.

This is about remembering who you are.

You deserve confidence that isn’t performative.
Self-worth that doesn’t depend on what you produce.
Dreams that don’t get shoved to the side again.

You deserve a life that feels like yours.
